Diablo III Release Date: May 15

I haven't spent much time at all researching this game and I had a question. Has there been any talk about pure melee characters? Whether in PvP or PvE?

Is PvP set up to only operate in team mode or will it be possible to 1v1?

Admittedly I was disheartened when I learned the Paladin wasn't going to be part of the game. I'm hoping someone at Blizz stepped up and made sure to retain the D2 subculture of melee duelers.

The monk seems to be closer to a paladin without being the overpowered and overused p.o.s. that the paladin is... As for your melee question and 1v1 duels, I don't know, I've intentionally stayed away from most of the game's info.

However, this is a good read:

Thank you. I know nothing about this game other than it's predecessor. From what I've heard, it's going to be quite different. They seem to have taken a lot of time to smooth out the edges and from what I've heard, the beta reviews are generally positive.

You playin it?

I've really enjoyed the beta. I plan on rockin' the Demon Hunter at launch.

I had intentionally avoided most info on the game til recently but the more I read about it the more I am looking forward to it.

I enjoyed looking over the items page and seeing the names of some of the classic items returning as well as new ones. (i.e. The Immortal King set, StormShield, Grandfather, Windforce, etc)

Looking over the character classes, and some of the vids they have for their skills, and then using the skill calculator is pretty fun. It will be nice once they fill out the rest of the skill vid clips.

I don't think I will be as overall involved in D3 as I was in D2. Being a little older now and addition of the paypal auction house will probably hender my total time in it but I still plan to max level each character class. Level cap for release it set at 60 and I would expect them to go to 8 0 and then to 100, with expansions. My favorite new feature might be something as simple as the character stash is now universal throughout your account. But yeah, the game is looking pretty great imo. I'm glad they decided to get it out and patch in pvp later instead of continuously delaying it.

Thanks for all this and I hope to see you in the realms sometime. Shits gonna be fun if I can find the time to play. Somehow I think I'll make time......

  • 2 weeks later...

Which brings another question; Are they actually going to have some diligence in suspending accounts that cuss out and bother other players? When I first started playing D2 online that was the first thing that struck me as odd. How people could get away with calling others "fucking noob faggot" .........."cri moar plz fag" etc....
