Wayyy better, so much more they added..

only thing I can complain about is the lineup of pokemon.. nothing looked cool as I remember I use to base my pokemon team off cool looking ones

Oh yeah, thanks to senior Rike I have the complete basic, jungle, fossil, rocket, and base 2 set with various extras. The decks are very well balanced. I get high and play with 5 different individuals. Sometimes we put money or other things on it, lol.

And yeah, wizards of the coast gave Nintendo full control of the card game and they've cash-cowed the shit out of it. I pay little attention to the newer cards. They release them so often, it's pretty hard to keep up and they are surprising still expensive, so I don't bother anymore. I do have Scizor, Metagross, and Shining Gyrados cards I like and use tho. Need to pick up a Steelix. A couple more official old school coins would rock. I like Tyrantar and his line as well.

Mew sucks. Ninetales > Charizard.

I still have 6 full Magic decks and big boxes of mixed cards to build decks with, but I never play it now since I quit drinking LOL.

I rock 7 pokemon decks with my g/f, brother, and a friend.

Never tried it drunk tho

fire -built around Charizard

water -Blastoise

fighting -Machamp

grass/fighting -Venusaur

electric/physic -Gengar

colorless/water/electric -Dragonite

steel/physic/water/grass/fighting -Metagross (its awesome)

I also set on the couch for 2 weeks and dumped 40 hours into a freshly reset pokemon blue record when I was cleaning out the closet and the cartridge fell on my foot. I ended up with Charizard, Gyrados, Dragonite, Zapdos, Dugtrio, Haunter (I had no one to trade with :) )

Dragonite and Gyrados were bitches to evolve into.
